Spring Vibes
Don’t you just love spring? Winter is not over yet, but the craziest thing happened! I found this little book at a thrift store, and before I knew it, I’d bought it, brought it home, and did a little decorating. Don’t judge, it’s too early, I know.
This is my buffet table in my kitchen/dining room. The hubs brought me home these beautiful flowers from Costco. Don’t you love Costco’s flowers and prices? I love hydrangeas, they’re probably my favorite, but they do love water- to stay hydrated. I bought some once for a wedding I was doing and they wilted so fast, I was dying. Then I read that you can literally immerse them in water and the flower part with re-hydrate. So, I took all the cut bunches and filled my tub with water and put them under the water and gently weighted the stems so they would stay immersed. Within a few hours they were back to new and fresh cut looking! How cool is that? (Tip: Always give your flowers a fresh cut of the stem when bringing them home and putting them in your own vase of water.)
Bunny peeking out of green plants
I love this cute little bunny and how he looks like he just popped up out of his house in search of something to eat! But ignore my very plastic looking greens, they don’t look too bad from far away, lol.
Hanging Easter eggs from twigs
A few years back, Hob Lob had these stinking cute eggs, I love the vintage look of them. They ended up looking all pretty hung in some twigs that are on the end of the table.
Tall bunny in glass dome
On the other side of the flowers, I have this very tall glass dome (it’s very hard to find a place to store it, so I have to use it all the time, lol) but this tall skinny bunny was perfect for it. I added the yellow plate to match the little wooden bunny next to it.
Easter themed tiered tray
I have a tiered tray that I absolutely love! I have been charmed by them since they got popular and I don’t even care if they are not trending anymore, I still love them and they are a perfect place to coral all the fun and little decorations that I have for each season. Also, see that green moss stuff? I got that a Hob Lob and I love to put it all around to “tie everything together”. It’s very “springy” to me! Love!
Side view of entire buffet table
Here’s another view of the tiered tray and whole table. This is a big focal point in my kitchen area and I love having all the color, it makes me happy! That’s why we decorate, right?
Easter entry table
I also did my entry hall table. The white bunny on the left came from the thrift store. It was painted to look like a real rabbit, but badly, like, l could see where they were going with it, but yikes, so it got some white spray paint and now it’s so adorable!
Easter entry table
Here’s the whole table, with more of the mossy stuff. Also, more twigs. I have them all over my house, I think they can be so sculptural. At Christmas they had berry stems with them, now they have pink blossom stems.
Easter entry table
One final angle and a side note- I love that mirror, it stays up year round, I love how you can play with what’s in the reflection and it adds depth and shine to the table.
Well, that’s all for now! Just getting a little head start and trying hard not to get spring fever too soon!
Have a great week!
Patrice
